Biography
Deysi Jaramillo is a legal assistant at King & Siegel LLP.
She attended Glendale Community College where she earned her Associates Degree in English. During the time spent at GCC, Deysi was a part of the VOICES student organization which supports AB-540 students in their pursuit of higher education. Deysi also participated in and soon led the Feminist Society on campus which created a space for the discussion of Intersectional Feminism aiming to cultivate a sense of equality amongst students on campus.
Deysi transferred to the University of California, Berkeley where she majored in English and minored in Ethnic Studies. She maintained her passion for uplifting underrepresented students through her work as a mentor for the Starting Point Mentorship Program on campus. The program helped encourage students through their preparation to transfer to UCB. She also became the Co-Organizing Chair in the RISE student organization. Deysi helped bridge the undocumented community on campus with the undocumented community in Berkeley.
As a team member at King & Siegel, Deysi enjoys the daily efforts of helping wronged workers seek and achieve justice, as well as fair working conditions. She plans to pursue a career in law and is currently focusing on gaining experience and knowledge about the legal profession while being surrounded by an amazing group of passionate people. Deysi’s hobbies include chasing sunsets, writing, and keeping up with the Dodgers.
