Biography

Robert King graduated with honors from Columbia Law School, where he served as an editor of the prestigious Columbia Law Review. Robert previously worked at several of the country’s leading law firms, including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and McKool Smith. Robert witnessed firsthand how corporate defense lawyers protect businesses from facing liability for their misdeeds and he joined King & Siegel LLP to bring his tenacity and dedication to employees who have suffered harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

Robert heads King & Siegel’s whistleblower practice and frequently works with clients who have blown the whistle on corporate misconduct, including mortgage fraud, bank fraud, SEC violations, and other illegal acts. He also regularly represents employees who have suffered from discrimination or harassment because of their disabilities, age, gender, or race.

Robert has won multiple victories at trial and arbitration, securing approximately $6 million in awards on behalf of his clients, including:

  • $1,450,000 arbitration award for an employee terminated after returning from pregnancy leave;
  • $850,000 arbitration award for a whistleblower who complained about mortgage fraud;
  • $1,000,000 jury verdict for two women who were fired after raising concerns about discrimination;
  • $300,000 jury verdict on behalf of a whistleblower who complained that Walmart was stocking spoiled food;
  • $500,000 EEOC arbitration award on behalf of a USPS worker who was harassed because of a disability;
  • $1,250,000 settlement on the last day of an arbitration hearing on behalf of a whistleblower who complained about mortgage fraud;
  • $200,000 arbitration award on behalf of a pregnant nurse assistant terminated while on pregnancy leave;
  • $300,000 arbitration award on behalf of a client wrongfully terminated to avoid paying him vested stock options.
