Biography
Kat Shuai is an associate attorney at King & Siegel LLP.Kat received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of California, Davis and her law degree cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, Kat worked as a clinical student for UCI’s Community and Economic Development Clinic where she represented the first needle exchange program in Orange County. Kat also volunteered her time with nonprofits providing legal assistance to immigrants and victims of domestic violence.
Kat received several awards over the course of her law school career for her dedication to serving underserved communities and for her class performance in legal writing courses, administrative law, and employment discrimination law. While at UCI, Kat also served as Executive Editor of the UCI Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law.Prior to becoming an attorney, Kat served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Gonzalo P. Curiel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and externed for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where she worked closely with administrative judges on cases involving workplace discrimination.
In her spare time, Kat enjoys crocheting, concocting handmade soaps and balms, playing video games, riding her motorcycle, and exploring the outdoors with her beloved dog on hikes and beach adventures.
